People gather from all over the world to create a show in Japan. YTG brings you Oblique, an innovative theatrical experience that blends physical performance and the abstract.

Oblique was our summer 2024 show that explored different manifestations of power. From power dynamics between us and the others, to power dynamics of outside sources that interfere with our delicate human nature; from an exploration of how our ego and consciousness affect our importance as individuals, to an exploration of what happens if an Icarus flies too close to the sun.

The show was a series of physical and abstracted performances that explored the theme through different materials and spaces.

YTGの2024年夏のショー「Oblique」は、権力のさまざまな姿を探求するものだった。私たちと他者との間のパワー・ダイナミクスから、私たちのデリケートな人間性に干渉する外部からのパワー・ダイナミクスまで、私たちのエゴと意識が個人としての重要性にどのように影響するかという探求から、イカロスが太陽に近づきすぎるとどうなるかという探求まで。
このショーは、さまざまな素材や空間を通してテーマを探求する、身体的で抽象的なパフォーマンスの連続であった。

You can watch a recording of the livestream of Oblique from August 18, 2024. You can enter any price you think is fair, starting at 500 yen (the suggested ticket price is 2500 yen for adults, 1500 for students). 10% consumption tax will be charged at checkout.
