YTG is excited to announce that our theatre showcase production of “Jekyll and Hyde” took place on March 25 and 26, 2023. Our adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s novella Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde delved into the deeper meaning of the story and explored various ways to bring it to life on stage, drawing inspiration from classic horror, surrealist, and expressionist films.
The showcase was a hybrid performance, combining live in-person and virtual elements, which provided a unique and captivating experience for our audience. For those who missed it, the recording of the livestream is now available for purchase so you can still watch our work-in-progress presentation at your convenience.
We gathered useful feedback from our audience in the Q&A sessions after the showcase and used it to make the production even better. We are grateful for the feedback and look forward to incorporating it into the final fully-mounted summer version.
In August, we will present the final fully-mounted summer version of the Jekyll and Hyde story. We are excited to bring you a fully-realized version of the production that showcases everything we’ve learned from the spring work-in-progress production.
