Mastsukaze | 松風 follows the lives of two foreign women studying and working in Japan from 1989 to 1990. Fuuko is an art student from East Berlin and Ameko is a hospitality student from Beijing.
Adapted from the Noh play of the same name, Mastsukaze | 松風 is the latest in our series of pandemic-era shows. It started with our livestreamed cabaret in May 2020, followed by September 2020’s online Wuthering Heights. We opened 2021 with our very own adaptation of the classic Japanese ghost story 牡丹燈籠 (The Peony Lantern), and closed the summer with our third livestreamed workshop, The Upside. Mastsukaze | 松風 began our 2022 season with a showcase in March and culminated in the final version that was presented on August 6th and 7th 2022 to a hybrid audience.
You can still watch the recorded livestream of the show by donating or by buying tickets. After you donate or buy your tickets, you will receive an email with the link to view the show. The ticket-buyers’ list will not be used for any other purpose and will be deleted within 1 year of the video release, along with all personal information.
